SWPPP & NPDES Services - Industrial Property - Brockton, Massachusetts

Nover-Armstrong developed and implemented a USEPA Stormwater Prevention Pollution Plan (SWPPP) for a 3+ acre industrial scrap metal salvage facility located on Trout Brook, a designated impaired water with published TMDLs pursuant to the USEPA NPDES Industrial Stormwater Multi-Sector permit process. The Firm’s Stormwater Professional / Mass Civil P.E. inspected the site’s stormwater management system and provided recommendations for maintenance activities prior as part of the SWPPP preparation. The plan detailed the MADEP Stormwater Regulation compliant stormwater management plan’s best management practices (BMPs) and identified all potential pollutant sources to the stormwater runoff discharging to “waters of the U.S”.

As part of the permitting process, the Firm’s environmental scientists collected background surface water samples from the site’s permitted stormwater discharge as well as up-gradient of the site and continued to conduct scheduled inspections and discharge sampling. Analytical data was uploaded to the USEPA eNOI system once the plan was approved.
